Duo Mobile

Duo adds a verification step to help protect your SUNY Plattsburgh account. Duo Mobile is the phone or tablet app used for Duo Push.

Choose the help you need

• Set up Duo Mobile for the first time — campus enrollment screenshots and activation steps.
• Switch from text-messages or passcodes to Duo Mobile — for accounts already using Duo.
• Manage your Duo access — add, replace, or review devices after verification.
• Update Duo Mobile, your browser, and your device.
• Backup codes and account recovery.

Use Verified Push safely

When the campus login screen shows a verification code, enter that code into the request in Duo Mobile and tap Verify. Only approve a sign-in you started. Deny unexpected requests and contact ITS. Never enter a code supplied by someone in a text or phone call.

Text-message authentication is being phased out at SUNY Plattsburgh. Set up Duo Mobile now to prepare. Supported passkeys offer phishing-resistant authentication; availability depends on your device and campus settings. A biometric lock on Duo Mobile is different from enrolling a passkey.

Duo Push needs internet access through Wi-Fi or cellular data. Installing the app alone does not connect your campus account; complete activation using the enrollment guide.
