Why can't I see my online class?

There are a number of reasons an online class may not be available. These reason include, but are not limited to:

  • Scheduled maintenance outages - While our systems are robust, they do require the occasional maintenance periods to perform software and security updates.
  • Unscheduled outages - These can happen at any time and are usually due to circumstances outside our control.
  • The semester or term is not active - Visibility of course sites are not triggered automatically. The instructor can choose, but is not required, to show the site prior to the beginning of a term or semester. 
  • New registration to a course - Registering for a course is the start of a process that can take an hour or more to finish. Once the process finishes, the course will be available, provided it is active and the instructor has chosen to make the site visible to students.
