How does an employee connect to the campus VPN?

The campus VPN is only for campus owned Devices, it will not be setup on personally owned devices. 

Connect while signed into the laptop

1. On the Windows Taskbar, next to the clock, click on the network icon or 
2. Click on the SUNY-Plattsburgh VPN connection 
3. Click 'Connect'.
4. Enter your Plattsburgh netID(username) and Password, Click 'OK'.
5. The PC will not notify you, but your default Duo device will be automatically prompted to accept a push notification. This must be completed before it will connect. 

Connect at Windows Logon

It is possible to connect to the VPN before signing in, this will allow domain sign on when off campus.

1. Make sure the device is connected to the Internet.
2. In the lower right-hand corner of the sign in page, click on the network sign in icon. 
3. Enter NetID(username) and password.
4. The PC will not notify you but it will send a push notification to the default Duo device.
