Scan Action on the Printer
Printers are setup by ITS for scanning to a network drive. If any changes are needed, please reach out to the ITS Helpdesk for assistance. You will want to use the auto feed scanner on the top of the printer to scan your sheets, if you are scanning an exam you will want the answer sheet to be the first in the stack.
- Sign into the printer
- Press the Scan button
- Select the appropriate Inspiroscan option for your department
- The file will be saved to a network share for your department once the scanning has completed.
Accessing the scans on your PC
To process the scanned bubble sheets you will need to access the network share where they are located, it is best to map the network drive to your PC.
- Open the File Explorer
- Navigate to \\scanner
- Right-click the appropriate department share, select Map network drive...
- Check the box next to Reconnect at sign-in and click Finish
- The share will now be available on the PC similar to an external hard drive.
Printing test or survey sheets
Blank survey sheets can be printed using most departmental copiers.
- Open the Master Inspironscan sheet from here.
- The .pdf file should open in your default pdf viewer (generally your web browser or adobe acrobat)
- Select File, Print, and select a campus copier (SUNY Print B&W)
- Ensure you print at Actual size (avoiding options such as Fit, Shrink, or Scale)
- Print and retrieve the sheet(s) on the copier.
