Administrative authorization is generally required to install software on campus computers. However, there is a tool that allows you to install certain campus software without Administrative intervention. In the lower left of your desktop next to the Program menu icon, there is a Search box.
Type Software center in this box. A window will open that lists many of the software titles available for campus computers.
Click the icon for the program you would like to install.
Click the word Install.
If there is software not listed, it's possible a license needs to be assigned or it still may require an Administrator. In those cases, please contact the campus Helpdesk at (518)564-4433 or helpdesk@plattsburgh.edu
